Important DNR Conservation Congress Tonight

I promised to blog about this, then promptly misplaced the papers with the details, but . . . here’s a note from another party to pass along!

Here’s the address. Schwan Performing Arts Center, Monona Grove High School, 4400 Monona Dr., Monona, WI 53716

Tonight, Monday, April 11, 7pm, Monona Grove High School Auditorium

DNR Congressional Congress
Every adult who shows up gets one vote regarding DNR rules and policies regarding Wisconsin’s Wildlife. More nature lovers need to show up, to counter balance all the fishers and hunters. DNR needs to start to recognize passive recreation.

Those who wish can mark a ballot at 7pm and leave. Or you can stay and participate in the public hearing. DNR website has entire ballot. Madison Area Audubon website has some comments.

Dog lovers may be interested in questions about dogs on public lands and use in hunting, including “hounding” of bears and cubs.

Help save wildlife close to home.
Wild Warner meets Tuesday, April 12, 6pm, Warner Park Community Recreation Center. All are welcome to participate as we plan to advocate, educate, preserve, and protect the wild areas of Warner Park. Some amazing good news will be revealed at this meeting.
