Scope of Search for the Appointment of the Next Fire ChiefIn its meeting today the Board decided unanimously to limit its search for our next Fire Chief to current commissioned staff of the Madison Fire Department.
The application form is expected to be available beginning October 1 and will be due October 25.

It might explain the cheering when one of the supervisors drove up to the Willy St. station today.
The did have a public hearing last Tuesday when the Council Chambers were packed to the rafters til after 1am . . . at the time it did kinda seem like they weren’t really looking for serious input since they scheduled their meeting to conflict with the council meeting. Now I know why.
