Demolition previously approved in 2008 as part of an office development proposal for the site. Landmarks review at that time determined that there was no architectural or historical interest in the houses.

Former Community Based Residential Facility has been unoccupied for approximately sixteen years. This building no longer serves a useful purpose. The roof, windows, and siding are in poor condition. We are requesting to demolish the building to improve the asthetics of the property and make way for any future development that may be planned.

This project will renovate the buildings along State Street. The backs of the 117-119 State Street and the 121-123 State Street buildings along Fairchild Street are proposed to be removed along with the buildings at 120 West Mifflin Street and 122 West Mifflin Street. The Schubert Building at 120 West Mifflin Street was designated a local landmark in 2007. The new structure facing Fairchild Street can’t be built unless this building is removed.
