Governor Scott Walker declared an energy emergency on Friday and has waved the 70-hour per week restriction on truck drivers transporting petroleum products into Wisconsin. Kind of a risky move, given the fact that studies show higher rates of crashes occur the Monday after a time change. Maybe it would be even riskier for a Governor running for re-election to have gas prices spike on Election Day?
