What is wrong with people?

Who planned this?! Are they completely unaware of what happens on August 15th every year? And yet connected to the University? Seriously peop0le.

UNIVERSITY AVENUE CLOSURE FOR BRIDGE REMOVAL

On Monday (August 10) Zenith Tech began removing the pedestrian bridge over University Avenue between Lake Street and Park Street. Tonight (August 12), from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Thursday, University Avenue will be closed completely at Frances Street in order to take down the middle span of the bridge. University Avenue traffic will be detoured to Frances Street to Dayton Street to Park Street and back to University Avenue. Lake Street will remain open during the closure of University Avenue.

There will be no additional work during the day on Thursday (August 13).

On Friday (August 14) work will involve closing the leftmost lane of University Avenue and the eastbound bike lane. Commuters should expect significant delays during the Friday morning rush hour due to the lane closure.

Final clean up and restoration will take place on Monday (August 17).
