Both meetings have impacts for people way beyond the neighborhood, both at 7pm tonight. Who planned this? Oh, traffic engineers. Homeless Day Resource Center Conditional Use Permit meeting? Or John Nolen Drive Corridor Study Neighborhood Meeting? I live about 5 blocks away from both of them . . .
John Nolen Drive Corridor Study Neighborhood Meeting
Wednesday, November 30 – 7:00 p.m.
Monona Terrace – One John Nolen DriveThe City of Madison is conducting a corridor study of John Nolen Drive and Blair Street from North Shore Drive to East Washington Avenue including portions of Wilson Street and Williamson Street. The study will focus on transportation issues and access to Law Park.
The first public involvement meeting will include a brief presentation and a needs and goals exercise for interested participants. City of Madison and engineering consultant representatives will be available to discuss the corridor study and address questions.
Several previous and ongoing studies exist along John Nolen Drive in the study area. The corridor study will seek to build upon these efforts and be mindful of possible long term visions for the Monona Terrace and Law Park areas.
The project is in the data gathering stage at this point. Additional public meetings are planned including one describing the range of alternatives in Spring 2017, and one identifying the study recommendations in Summer 2017. Information regarding the study can be found on the study website:http://www.cityofmadison.com/engineering/projects/blair-st-john-nolen-dr-corridor-study.
I look forward to seeing you on the 30th.
