5:30 PM Plan Commission Metro Stop #1486 Corner of E Wilson St and MLK Jr Blvd
– SPECIAL BUS TOUR OF THE PLAN COMMISSION
The tour will travel the proposed Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) routes, departing from Metro bus stop #1486 at the northeastern corner of E. Wilson Street & Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. A map of the approximate tour route is available from the Planning Division, (608) 266-4635.
As part of the tour, the bus will stop on Raymond Road near the intersection of Oak View Drive to allow tour participants to view the the proposed intersection of Jeffy Trail (extended) and Raymond Road and the surrounding area on foot (weather permitting). Tour participants will reboard the bus at Jeffy Trail and Flagstone Drive.
A second stop is proposed at the Salvation Army Community Center at 3030 Darbo Drive, in the Darbo-Worthington Neighborhood Plan area.
A third stop is proposed at Madison College-Truax Campus near the intersection of Anderson and Wright streets.
The tour will return via E. Washington Avenue, Blair Street, and E. Wilson Street, concluding near Stop #1486.
