I was listening to 1310 WIBA-AM the other day, took a look around, and realized the sucker is us! I do not mean the combined 90 IQ of Conry, Limbaugh and Hannity or the cigarette drenched screeching of hate talker Vicki Mckenna. The far right hate crew, while a problem is not THE problem.
I was listening to the radio and a radio ad aimed at Senator Tammy Baldwin, by America’s PAC was on. It was so ridiculous(it even made fun of her stuttering over an answer, like an 8th grade mean girl, and the whole message has been proven false.
Now one would think that a radio station that billed themselves as “news talk” would stop running a knowingly false ad(Before you rail about free speech, America’s PAC has every right to lie but they do not have a right to have a forum). However, America’s PAC is run almost exclusively by Illinoisian Richard Uihlein, who has an overabundance of money and a serious lack of ethics, so as long as the money flows, the “news talk” can be put on hold.
So we have established that there is no amount of Bullshit that the “news talk” station will not run as long as the money flows.
The only way to counter that then is Tammy Baldwin has to run ads on the same station, setting the record straight.
When that plays out, then America’s PAC cuts a new ad, total BS, and runs the hell out of it.
Which is followed by Senator Baldwin having to run ads to counter the latest BS.
We (the suckers at the table) get fed a steady stream of BS(the election is about 14 months away), while the ‘news talk” station fills their coffers and the average voter gets sick of politics and disengages. Which means that a few people decide what rules our country in our Constitutionally Limited Democratic Republic.
Lather, Rinse, Repeat…
