 Thursday, October 10th 2019, 6:30pm

Madison Municipal Building – Room 206
215 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Madison

The City County Homeless Issues Committee hopes you will join them for a listening session in downtown Madison. This listening session will help inform the budget recommendations they will send to elected leaders at the City of Madison and Dane County.

What is the City County Homeless Issues Committee?

The City County Homeless Issues Committee is an advisory committee of private citizens, Dane County Supervisors, and City of Madison Alders. The committee recommends policy and budget priorities related to housing and homelessness for consideration by decision makers in the Dane County and City of Madison governments.

What Will Happen at the Meeting?

At the listening session, members of the public are encouraged to share their thoughts with committee members on issues related to housing and homelessness in Dane County, specifically any ideas that could help inform the committee’s budget recommendations for 2020.

How Does The Listening Session Work?

Staff will be available to help people who have not participated in a listening session before sign up to speak. Written comments are also accepted at the meeting if people do not wish to speak.

Public comment is limited to three minutes per person. Committee members will ask people to take turns giving their comments and will remind speakers when their time is up.

This meeting is open to the public – please feel free to share this information with others who may be interested. You do not need to RSVP to attend this meeting.

If you have questions, please e-mail committee staff Casey Becker atbecker.casey@countyofdane.com or Sarah Lim at slim@cityofmadison.com.

Don’t forget to RSVP on Facebook and invite friends.

The WI Green Party needs YOU!

An important part of the Fall Gathering is choosing who will guide our party through the coming year full of opportunities and challenges.

We need committed people who believe in our mission of building a political force for people, planet and peace over profit, independent from the corporate-controlled political establishment.

We’ll be electing officers, members of the coordinating council, delegates to the national party, caucus members (diversity, LGBTQIA, women’s, youth), as well as looking for more active members to serve on our committees (membership, communications, elections, finance, platform and policy, and IT).

For more information on these opportunities to help build the Green Party, check out our Officers page, our Committees page, and our Caucuses page.

Open officer positions that we need to fill include Co-Chair, Elections Treasurer, Operations Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and Corresponding Secretary.

We will be electing Coordinating Council representatives: 1 from each congressional district, 1 from each accredited local chapter, 1 from each caucus, and up to 8 at large; as well as 3 National Committee delegates and up to 3 alternates.

If you are interested in any of these roles, click here to submit a self-nomination. Please include the position you seek and why you think you would be a good fit.

Please note that anyone interested in becoming an officer or Coordinating Council representative should also plan to attend Sunday’s meeting from 10-3 at the same venue.

Hope to see you at what’s sure to be another great Fall Gathering!

Peace,
Dave Schwab
Co-chair, WIGP
