PROGRESSIVE DANE SNOWBALL

Saturday – 4-6 at the Argus Bar and Grill, lower level

Progressive Dane’s Snow Ball is a wintertime, celebratory event to raise funds for upcoming campaigns and honor the past work of members, elected officials, and supporters. There will be plenty of food and drink, but feel free to bring a treat to share! The Snow Ball is always free and open to the public.

This year we will be honoring Greg Gelembuik (Kathy Schroeder Award  for his tremendous work on the Ad Hoc Police Policy and Procedure Ad Hoc Committee Report for the past 4 years!) and the Safe Skies Clean Water Coalition and the Vermont Delegation to check out the F-35s (Chris Taylor, Rebecca Kemble, Brandi Grayson, Amelia Royke Maurer) who are getting the David Austin Award for thier work opposing F-35s. (with special thanks to Dylan Brogan and Nicole Desautels for covering the trip!)

Help us honor the folks doing great work in our community! And to raise money for candidates we may endorse for the the upcoming 37 County Board (7 incumbents stepping down that we know of), 3 School Board (Savion Castro, Kate Toews, Nikki Vander Muelen incumbents) and the campus Alder seat.

VOTERS:  DID YOU GET A “MOVER” NOTICE?

League of Women Voters wants to hear from you!

Forward Forward
Urgent:
The League’s attorneys are asking anyone who has been mailed this ERIC “mover” notice this fall to contact them.  If you have received this notice in the mail this fall, please call Jon Sherman at Fair Elections Center immediately. His number is 202-248-5346, and his email is jsherman@fairelectionscenter.org.

LWVWI filed necessary papers to join the lawsuit to prevent Wisconsin voters from being removed from the registration lists due to the process of identifying voters for removal is erroneous. LWVWI supports efforts to keep the state’s voter rolls updated and accurate, and believes removing people from the voter rolls should only be done with reliable information. In an effort to protect voters, LWVWI has filed a motion to intervene to stop Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty forcing the Wisconsin Election Commission to remove voters from the rolls. You can read more about the legal action and link to legal documents through the LWVWI website.

We need your help.

The League’s attorneys are asking to see if we can find anyone who has been mailed the ERIC “mover” notice this fall. (See image below.)  They were mailed out in October, but may have arrived at different times. If you have received this notice in the mail this fall, please call Jon Sherman at Fair Elections Center immediately. His number is 202-248-5346, and his email is jsherman@fairelectionscenter.org.  This is *time-sensitive* as our attorneys are trying to file something today or tomorrow in state court. If you received an ERIC notice this fall, please call Jon as soon as you see this email.

NEW FAIR HOUSING APP

We are proud to announce the creation of a new, free housing search app for mobile phones and tablets: Fair Housing Hunt. You can find links to install the app here:
https://www.fairhousingwisconsin.com/housing-search-app

Designed for use throughout Wisconsin, Fair Housing Hunt allows users to quickly and easily record information about rental housing options, and then compare units based on characteristics like size, cost, and location. It also contains important information about fair housing laws, and how home seekers can stand up for their rights if they experience discrimination.

Please share this free resource with renters you know!

Thanks so much!
