Look who’s getting promoted where – every year there is a shuffle as police get the Madison police staff get different assignments, but this year, it seems like a lot more changes going on.
These are all the promotions and changes that have happened or recommended to happen since Chief Koval left. I don’t know enough of the officers well enough to know if these are promotions are good or bad, if the department is going in a different direction, or if we can expect changes. I did cringe a couple times. I did notice that the higher ranking folks seem younger there’s a few more women, but not many people of color. Still 2/3s white men, but it is an improvement. Also, looks like some of the people are already in their positions before the PFC has approved them. And I think when they hire a chief, Vic Wahl goes back to Assistant Chief of Police and Dick Bach goes back to Executive/Operations Captain and Mindy Winter goes . . . probably back to her old position?
