SUBJECT: Petition against Leg. 15955 Rezoning Property at 666 Wisconsin Avenue

Protest petitions has been filed with the City Clerk against the proposed rezoning of 666 Wisconsin Avenue (Leg. 15955) rezoning property from HIST-MH Mansion Hill Historic District, OR Office Residence District and R6H General Residence District to PUD(GDP) and PUD(SIP). The petitions have been reviewed by the City Attorney’s Office and the Planning Division against section 28.12(10)(g). The protest petitions submitted by Mr. Joseph M. Korb and Mr. Frederic E. Mohs have been verified and have been found to be sufficient to require a favorable vote of three-fourths of the members of the Common Council voting on the proposed zoning map amendment, in order for the zoning map amendment to be approved and become effective.One petition, submitted by Mary S. Mohs, who signed the petition as the owner of 17 Langdon Street, does not qualify, and has been rejected.
In summary, because of the submitted petitions, in order to approve the PUD zoning map amendment (Leg. 15955) for 666 Wisconsin Avenue, a favorable vote of three-fourths of the members of the Common Council voting on the proposed change will be required.
