BLASKA’S BLATHER
I hate to admit it, I read his story yesterday. Then regretted it. Lukas was more thoughtful in tearing it apart, I just ignored it and moved on. Warning: you may or may not want to click here, depending upon your level of tolerance for racist comments. I seriously don’t recommend it, the guy is a loon and losing it. I know its a train wreck and hard to ignore, but if we click, it encourages him. Lukas is talking about the third section – if you do click, you may want to skip the rest, cuz I know you can’t resist despite my cautions. I’m so glad to see a post from him, its been a while. And you gotta read it if you want a laugh/cringe. It’s a tale of a hammock on State St. and a cop without a sense of humor.
SCHOOL PAY FREEZES
They’ll save $1M by freezing the pay of painters, custodians, educational assistants, school security assistants and support employees (computer technicians, clerical staff, etc.) It’s unclear if teachers will get the same treatment. Also
About 50 front-line school jobs facing possible cuts were restored to the budget Monday, including the full-time equivalent of 19.25 custodial, facility operations and painter jobs; 17.83 instructional resource teachers; 8.69 special education assistant positions; and five Hmong bilingual resource specialists.

A friend of mine, distracted by life, recently fell for this, if you get a call from “Park Bank” be careful. I’d hang up and call them back if you think its legit, but its likely not.
T WALL COMMERCIAL
Ohmigod . . . I just saw the eyeroll inducing commercial where T Wall says that Feingold is part of the insider Washington problem. But funnier to me, is the final shot, where they try to make him look like a tall guy by shooting from the ground and looking up at him. His ego is just too much.
CAP TIMES DID A BETTER JOB
Yeah, they made a good point about Sly, Woodman’s, mental health insurance coverage . . . and fireworks.
When all is said and done, however, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of expression matter a whole lot more than the fireworks that are shot off to celebrate those liberties each Fourth of July.

Subject: Public Hearing on 2010-2014 TIP Amendment for
Milwaukee-MadisonIntercity Passenger Rail ProjectPlease see the attached notice regarding a public hearing on amending the 2010-2014 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the Madison Metropolitan Area & Dane County for the Milwaukee-Madison Intercity Passenger Rail Service Project. The public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. before the Madison Area Transportation Planning Board at the Madison Water Utility, 119 E. Olin Avenue, Conference Room A-B. The amendment adds federal funding in 2010 for preliminary engineering and final design and initial rail infrastructure improvements between Madison and Watertown for the intercity rail service.
