This is it. A meeting on Monday to talk TIF, the vote is on Tuesday (or probably 5 am Wednesday morning) and then we can all go back to caring about other important issues in the city. Hopefully, this project has not torn our city apart and decimated our planning and public input processes going forward. But I’m not that hopeful, I will cringe every time a developer says “Yes, but the Edgewater . . . “

– This won’t be televised or streamed as far as I know, so that’s kind of annoying, since it is the Council discussion on the Edgewater TIF, the only other conversation they have had was at the Board of Estimates that was held simultaneously with the Landmarks discussion on the Edgewater and occurred after midnight. Great open government, eh? It’s unclear if they will accept public testimony, but I’m guessing they would frown upon it, since they usually don’t have public testimony at council discussions.
