Applicant is seeking a variance from IBC 3103.1.1 requiring that temporary structures conform to the structural strength, fire safety, means of egress, accessibility, light, ventilation and sanitary requirements of this code. IBC 903.2.1.3 Group A-3 requires an automatic sprinkler system where the fire area exceeds 12,000 square feet and has an occupant load of 300 or more. The applicant is proposing a temporary structure of 65,000 square feet to house the Trade Center of the World Dairy Expo.
