The Fire Department Physical Ability Test (PAT) consists of a series of events that simulate firefighting activities. This includes the following events: Stairmaster Step mill, Ladder movement and raise, Hose Drag, Sledgehammer, Search, Rescue, and Pike Pole. After successful completion of the PAT, the Fire Chief selects candidates to receive an extensive reference/background check for possible future employment.
Members of the Police and Fire Commission have been invited to observe testing at any time on Monday, March 6 and Tuesday, March 7 between 8am and 4pm.
