Thursday Round Up

Ah, totally back in the groove, 4 days in a row . . . its official, the daily Round Up is back! And as soon as my power cord for my laptop arrives in the mail (today please!) my blogging world will be all back to normal. My trapped notes won’t be much good at that point tho . . .

UNION CORNER FAIL!
Why didn’t this get as much attention as the Edgewater or the Central Library. It’s equally, if not more important, right?

MORE MONKEY LOVE
Marmosets. Who knew?

STATE LEGISLATURE 911 FAIL!
Ooops, maybe they should have worked harder to pass that bill.

FAMILY CARE: DANE COUNTY V STATE
Hmmm, this is an interesting show down. There’s no question that something needs to be done if its true that there are 779 people on a waiting list. But will the cure be worse? Its not just about the money, its about the service people will receive.

POLLSTER FLAP
Anyone surprise, someone is playing with the numbers? I’m just surprised they got caught.

MAJOR TRANSPORTATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Gee, what issue could the Madison Mayor and Governor be talking about today? Channel 3 says they’ll have a “major” announcement this morning. Geee, you think it will be that the Monona Terrace “high speed” rail station will be at the DOR building. I’m sure they carefully considered all that input that was due on Monday and that helped them make the decision, right?

KARMA WILL GET THIS GUY!
Times ten. Who the hell steals a bus ticket from a blind man? A sign of the economic times?

CORPORATE AMERICA HAS US BY THE THROAT
I swear it said “short hairs” the first time I read it . . . must remember to get screen shot!

MADISON NUMBER 4
Best places to live in mid-size cities.

OTHER THINGS GOING ON AROUND TOWN
Remember, I’ve started putting things you might normally see cut and pasted here in the calendar, under the events tab above, complete with all the details. Its worth taking a look. And please submit something if you want to see it there.
