Latest Library Design Revealed Tonight

In case you have nothing better to do tonight . . . . I’m not sure how to cover Overture, the Emerald Ash Borer and the Library meeting . . . hint, I can’t do all three.

This press release went out yesterday.

Schematic Design Meeting for Central Library Tomorrow

Architects from Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle and Potter Lawson will present initial schematic designs for the new library on Tuesday, September 28 at 7 pm at the Madison Senior Center, 330 West Mifflin St. This is the second of four public meetings to determine a plan for the new Central Library.

After the first meeting on August 5, the architectural team developed several concepts which will be presented on September 28. At the meeting, they will gather input on those concepts, then pick one to focus on and further develop the design through the following meetings on October 14 and November 4. Each meeting will be an opportunity for the public to see the latest design work and give their feedback.

Due to the Presidential visit to Madison, residents planning on driving to the meeting may expect traffic delays. Parking may be available in the Overture Center Garage, just a door down from the Senior Center.

Details from the September 28 library presentation will be added to the library’s web site within a day of the public meeting. For more information, see www.madisonpubliclibrary.org/central.
