Russ Feingold – On to the Next Fight!

Here’s one classy guy . . . now what is he moving on to . . . in 2012?

Here’s the statement he sent to supporters.

Friends,

Thank you. Thank you for your support over the years. Representing Wisconsin in the Senate has been the greatest honor of my life and together we accomplished many great things. No one has ever had such a strong foundation of support as I have. You gave me my backbone.

In the words of Bob Dylan: “But my heart is not weary. It’s light and free. I’ve got nothing but affection for those who have sailed with me.”

Forward!

Thank you,

Russ

In case you didn’t see that speech, its here.

  1. We had a poet for a senator, we saw that in his work, that he focused on the images of life for the people he represented. And then, he let out the secret of his being a poet when he in his generously gave those of us who were teary and weary hope just the way Brenda Konkel did the night she conceded.

And she is the reason that I have hope after Feingold lost because look what she went on to do. (I don’t know her; i know her work)

And she went on to get a stonger voice after sexism was used on her by a male in power and then, she went on to give others voice as well even Senor Blaska.

And so for two reasons I have hope today after a sad loss,#1) Russ Feingold revealed he is a closet poet ! (poets generally care about truth)
    2) look what Brenda Konkel did after she conceded with class, she said she was going to work to make Madison a better place and she is; she’s allowing the rest of us to come along for the ride !

    Konkel and Feingold; total class.
