Spring Elections Update

The observant, have noticed a new tab on our website, called Spring Elections . . .

UPDATES
This weekend, I updated the alders and mayor tab. I hope to get the other section updated tonight. The objective is to have all the elections related information posted there for a quick reference, so it will be updated frequently, and we’ll try to note on those pages when we update it, so you know there is something new. Check back early and often!

ALDERS
You should check out the alder page – 5 alders not running, 23 candidates show signs of life, 6 contested races at the moment . . . and you can see who has their campaigns together enough to have a website, and the various forms of updated websites that are out there. Incumbents are a bit ahead, but several challengers ready as well.

MAYOR
11 potential candidates, 1 dropped out, none have all their paperwork in to be officially on the ballot.

GOING FORWARD
I plan to ask the candidates one question a week and post them on my blog. No bios or why are you running type questions, but current, relevant, policy questions. Also, I plan to do a half hour chat with each of the candidates on WYOU, video will also be posted here. My A Public Affair show on WORT will likely focus on County Exec candidates.
