McDonell Campaign Takes to the Air
The campaign to elect Scott McDonell as the next Dane County Executive took a major step forward today as his first advertisement hit the television airwaves.
“It’s more important than ever to get our message directly to the voters,” McDonell said. “We are fortunate to have enough support throughout the county to be able to execute a robust campaign to inform the people about my accomplishments over the last 15 years on the County Board and my plans to protect Dane County’s progressive values.”
The 30-second spot highlights McDonell’s record of support for the county’s domestic abuse shelter and elder services programs, his successful authoring and passage of the state’s first county domestic partner registry and his successfully negotiating fair, responsible contracts with County workers.
It begins heavy rotation on Charter Cable throughout the county today, and will begin rotation on the local broadcast affiliates in the next few days.

The County Executive primary election takes place Tuesday, February 15. The two candidates with the most votes will face off in the general election on April 5.
