Liar

I really hate it when politicians do . . . well, what SOME politicians do. Stretch the truth to ridiculous lengths. I never did this, and I don’t expect my elected officials to get away with it either. People who do this need to be held accountable.

This whole lit piece is screwy, but the second bullet point is on my mind today.

It reads: “In the past 2 years we have accomplished … Legislation promoting tenants rights for showing and leasing apartments”

Why that bullet point . . . well, because tomorrow, the council will be taking up the very issue that she claims . . . well what is she claiming? Cuz the legislation hasn’t passed yet, its just on the agenda for tomorrow (Item 66), and in typical fashion for Bridget Maniaci, the piece of legislation she intends to have them vote on isn’t available to the public at the moment. She has a different version she will spring on the public at the last minute. It’s the 5th substitute, third version.

Hi all,

I wanted to get this to you before the weekend. Adriana was unable to get it into legistar today. We thought it was going to be in. Please plan to vote on this Tuesday. These final tweaks were in response to meetings Bryon and I held with the Apartment Assoc. Board and ASM reps.

Bridget

From Adriana:

Sorry, this was too late to make it on to the agenda because of the fiscal note. The most recent draft that is in Legistar will be the draft from a few days ago, without the most recent changes by Alders Eagon and Maniaci.

Diane will be placing a paper copy in Alder Maniaci’s mailbox today to make copies and distribute at the Council meeting and this will have to be introduced from the floor.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Adriana

How can you trust politicians who put items like this on their lit? And are so deceitful with the public? And, disrespect the public process by not making items they will be voting on tomorrow available to the public?

Well, she did get it to the lobbyists for the landlords.

I want, no we deserve, better representation!

  1. Oh, this is so sad. I had hoped after findig out you were running that she would grow out of the adolescent sneakiness.

I once had a friend who said of another person, “If he is going to attempt to manipulate me, at least be sophisticated about it.”

The theme that runs through her work appears to be, “Can I get away with it?”

I am voting for the other guy after seeing that she is still in the hands of landlord lobbyists.

There is another guy isn’t there?

  3. Oh and that Tenney Park bridge is an aesthetic disaster. It doesn’t go with the old bridge on Johnson Street which is next to it. And it doesn’t go with the rest of Tenney Park.

It looks cheap and fake. I would not brag about getting that done if I were her.

  4. Cheap and fake? That also applies to virtually anything repugs like Maniac(i) says and does. This embarrassment of a human is so cheap and fake she makes the two dollar “prada” bag for sale on the streets of New York City look elegant and authentic.
