Can’t make it, fill out the survey!
I gotta admit, I attended one, and just didn’t understand it. I left early. There were about 40 members of the public and about 40 staff people there. The exercise was difficult because people didn’t understand it or how to make the right decision to reflect their priorities.
I don’t disagree!
And it looks like the reference materials in the Toolkit (
http://www.cityofmadison.com/budgetProcess/documents/toolkit.pdf ) do not include the capital budget other than to mention interest on debt. There does seem to be space in the toolkit for specific requests.
