The Affordable Housing Action Alliance recently announced its endorsement of three candidates in the upcoming Dane County Board races. These candidates are knowledgeable on housing issues and are committed to helping low-income residents and renters by encouraging availability of affordable housing in Dane County.
In the District 2 race AHAA endorsed Heidi Wegleitner as an experienced and untiring advocate for renters and for those experiencing poverty. In District 5, AHAA endorsed Leland Pan, as a candidate who is knowledgeable on the issues and has the courage and energy to work with all sides to do what is right. AHAA also endorsed Jeff Pertl in the District 17 race. Members of AHAA were impressed by his vision and his commitment to work proactively to lessen homelessness in Dane County
AHAA was formed in Madison in 1997 to push for local policies that will increase fair, affordable and accessible housing. AHAA is made up of community members, housing professionals, and tenants who are actively working to ensure that everyone has access to quality affordable housing.
