Today is election day and its incredibly important that we show up in force today to VOTE!

Tuesday, April 2 is spring election for the Village of Cottage Grove. I registered as a write-in candidate for Trustee after Village President Diane Wiedenbeck noted that there were two empty ballot spots and only one incumbent. I agreed to run as a write-in because I have been involved with the village, care about its future, and approach budgets, issues, and planning with common sense. My background is in Political Science and my career is split between being a pastor and freelance writer. My two children are in the Monona-Grove district. I volunteer with several kid, dog, and home-building groups including coaching with the Cottage Grove Girls On The Run.
6. In the Village Presidential Election I am voting for Diane Wiedenbeck, the incumbent and also writing in current Village Board member and presidential challenger Ken Dahl as another write in. He has done an excellent job on the board and I would like to see him continue.
