Final vote was 11-2 in favor of amending the 2010-2014 TIP to add the rail money, and thereby releasing the money for preliminary design and final engineering for the Madison station.
There was a motion to postpone the matter until the July 7 meeting, but that was voted down. But that might have delayed the public process and outreach that everyone said they wanted.
Voting against the TIP amendment were Alder Steve Ritt of Verona and
Supervisor Eileen Bruskewitz of Westport.
