Short version, the whole package — Charter bill and “Flexibility” — is on the fast track. It passed the Senate Edu Committee earlier this week (http://www.wrn.com/2011/06/k-12-reform-passes-senate-panel/)
With the Charter Bill (now AB 51), the Wisconsin Association of School Boards and the Wisconsin School District Administrators Association are now officially “not in opposition” due to some changes and the fact they now have advisory roles in the appointment of the Charter Authorizing Board.
