Catching Up Round Up (Partial – Final)

I skipped yesterday and last weekend, so lets see what I can find . . . I’m trying to get two video’s up this morning, so I’m a bit behind on blogging, have to be to work by 11, so hopefully I will be done by then! I’m ridiculously using three computers this morning, two macs and my laptop to get things done, so at some point before 11, there will be more posts for you.

MY FAVORITE BLASKA BLOG EVER!!
Read it! Read it! Read it now. It’s ok, click on it!

BEDROOMS WITH NO WINDOWS?
Seriously? Is there nothing the plan commission won’t approve? Or is it ok because they expect students to live here and they think they won’t mind?

WELL 8
And brown water. And bacteria.

NOT ENOUGH ROAD PAINT?
Seems like an odd problem to have.

FRIDAY FURLOUGH
Don’t try going to the DMV and some other state offices.

SCHOOL WEEK AHEAD
A day late, sorry.

AFFORDABLE HOUSES
Madison, as usual, exceeds the rest of the country, meaning, we aren’t as affordable as elsewhere. National median home price for the first quarter of this year at $175,000. I doubt we were near that.

THAT TIME OF YEAR
You can’t avoid it! Road construction.

THE LOBBYISTS GOT WHAT THEY PAID FOR
Morrisey’s a little off, but brings up a good point, $8,000 per bike box. I guess paying for that trip to Europe paid off. What do you want for the city that you could get for paying for a trip to Europe?

KUDOS TO MANIACI
a) given the questions I was asked, this article turned out fine
b) this is the kind of thing that backfires in District 2
c) I’ll let the rest up to you to determine how that article went, lest I be accused of more things than I could try to accomplish in a week.

TONIGHT, A BUSY NIGHT FOR TRANSPORTATION
Ped, Bike project, rail, University Ave and, Robbie missed this?, the RTA Plan for Transit Subcommittee.

NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN?
Anyone notice this guy is running for sheriff? I don’t think this is going to help.

CENTRAL PARK, STOPPED BY A TRAIN
Central Park on hold. I bet there is some fierce lobbying going on now to get those tracks moved. I’ve guessing TIF might end up being the answer.

ANOTHER CITY COUNTY SHOWDOWN
This time, over quarterly tax payments. I bet the county wins.

Ugh . . . that’s all I have, tomorrow’s will be large if I don’t get distracted by something else . . . too bad this wasn’t a full time ok paying job! 🙂

    Oh, snap!

Honestly, it didn't sound all that exciting, and thought it would be low on the priority list for transportation geeks.

I'll let you know when they do something besides reviewing past reports. 😉
