Again. The Homeless Issues Committee was asked by the City-County Liaison Committee to look at solutions for the issues of homeless people being in the City-County Building. That meeting and conversation didn't take place because the staff blew it and didn't get the agenda out, even after they were reminded to do so . . . so that work wasn't done before the next meeting on the issue . . . which is Monday . . . sigh . . .

I've been listening to Rob rant for the last 20 minutes about what a bad choice this is . . . and of course, I'm not a Dem insider so I don't know what is going on but . . . this is bad for poor people

The warming shelter opens today, and there is a long list of items that they need. But . . . uh, only the things on this list.

It's been a long ugly ride . . . I hope I never have to go back to Token Creek again! It was great to leave knowing that even tho the county told us not to clean up - we did - check it out!

I'm surprised by the endorsements coming out, since many are waiting til after the primary.

It seemed like good news when County Executive Parisi announced he would "restore" $1.9M in funds, and more good news for some came from Health and Human Needs, but even if Personnel and Finance pass all the amendments, there are still XXX in cuts to Human Services.
