First Draft: Who Will Live at OM House?

One of the biggest issues raised at the community meeting is wanting to know who will be living in the house. There are 8 rooms for 20 people. But how will we decide who lives there. We essentially explained the membershipping process, but that wasn't satisfactory, so here is a first draft in writing of how we will decide. Now, we need the community's help to let us know if there is something missing. Let the feedback begin!

Yesterday was a Bad Day for Progress for the Homeless

Occupy got their eviction notice and the county board's Personnel and Finance Committee took the operating funds for the Homeless Day Center out of the budget. Always more work to be done and I knew the steps forward lately were just too good to be true. So, what's next for Occupy and the County Board?

Unaffordable Affordable Housing

There's a new "affordable housing" project - unfortunately, even people on section 8 (rent capped at the 40th percentile of area rents), but it could be a great opportunity for those just above those income limit.
