12 meetings, county board meets this week, only 3 meetings before 4pm!

A smattering of random things going on around town.

A couple cancelled meetings and meetings at 9am, 12:15pm and 12:15pm.

All meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Personnel and Finance Committee will be voting on the $10M land purchase and $225M jail.

Lake Levels Committee has draft recommendations, annual employee handbook reviews, Lynn Green (Human Service Director) retiring, finally choosing the vendor for the mental health gaps study, setting dates of elections to fill seats vacated by Supervisors Kolar Kolar, Jeff Pertl and Jenni Dye and more.

County Board meeting at East Highway Garage for tour of the landfill (insert joke here). Zoning has some items but not much else.

Only 6 meetings.

1,000 homes and countless businesses, plus schools and affordable housing will be impacted,  creating a huge dead zone on the Northside of Madison. Take action today!

Olympia Washington . . . perhaps the smallest city by the numbers, but clearly a larger metropolitan area. 50,000 population, roughly.

We just got done writing this letter at 4:00 on Tuesday, less than 48 hours later, we have major support from 20 organizations and over 100 individuals.

Eugene Oregon, a newer project, many years in the making. Of all the places we visited, we spent the most time here, we went to their weekly meeting.

Meetings at noon, 2pm, 8:30pm, 3:45pm, 7am, 9am and most of the rest are on Thursday night before the board meeting and most of the Board agenda is on the Personnel and Finance Committee agenda 45 minutes before the board meeting.
