Yesterday the Chamber of Commerce put out their press release, stating what they think is "broken" with the development process and noting their recommendations. I'm not sure their main recommendation is all that practical or will get them what they want. Talk about unintended consequences.

E Washington Public Informing, Not Public Input

Right before I left office, you could see that the public input was not really wanted on East Washington and I was having trouble getting information from staff, they have gone from a 25 member committee with lots of input, to public informing in the last two years.

Downtown Snow Emergency Tonight?

They're saying yes if there is more than 3 inches of snow . . . as if its a rule. But when there was 5 inches of snow last time they didn't do it. So confusing.

Keeping track of city and county issues are hard enough. Schools are even harder, and now the state is making it hard too . . . just as they are going back into session and I am getting anxious about new landlords/tenant legislation and worrying it will turn my work world upside down again . . . they tell me this!
