Was a really busy end of the week, but here's what I have!

Still catching up from yesterday morning . . .

Three years ago, I attempted to make some changes to the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (nice, they've changed history and removed my name entirely) to allow more use of the $4M that is in the fund. The Mayor opposed those changes. Michael Schumacher removed my name and introduced it last January and still, the changes went no where . . . until now, when the CDA again wants to bend the rules to get the money. $1M of the $4M to create no new units and make current housing less affordable.

He spoke to the Economic Development Commission about why he thinks they need to review the policy. The mayor was 10 minutes late and they...

Wonder if this is it for the holiday week - or it there will be additions?

Catching back up with what is going on with the Economic Development Commission report on the Development Process revisions and the landmarks ordinance and procedures.

Here's what we have - but expect changes to be made all week long. This will be the first look at the new alder assignments. New alders on Finance Committee, Plan Commission, Water Utility Board, Transportation Commission and more.

Yeah, I'm not kidding, the 8th time in 2 years

Alders Marsha Rummel, Ledell Zellers, Larry Palm, Lisa Subeck and Mike Verveer have proposed an ordinance that would allow tiny homes to be parked somewhere besides the streets. That ordinance went to plan commission last night and was unanimously approved! Plan commission struggled a bit, were unsatisfied with this as a solution, but in the end, knew this was better than nothing, but we were in need of better solutions. Good respectful discussion with a bit of frustration over there not being a bigger and better on-going plan to address the problem.

Sorry this is late. Technology is awesome, until it isn't.  4 meetings are over, but don't worry, there are 31 more left for this week, including a council meeting tonight.
