Everything else on the agenda (see items of interest here) will be passed with the recommendation unless someone shows up to talk about it or its a public hearing or a council member pulls it off at the last minute.

Going old school . . . there's a bunch of stuff at the end that I didn't yet add to the events calendar, so they are here for now . . .

Steven Coleman, Peng Her and Anita Weier running. This race had a strong contrast in style and presentation of the candidates as well as experience.

A pet peeve of mine - is this former (in the process of being sold) Water Utility Building really in such bad shape...

Governor Walker came out last week with a union busting bill - Lots more information here. A couple of things have been overlooked...

The plan commission is having its final meetings for final changes to the Downtown Plan. The business community and all their paid loobyists are all over this thing, coming up with their own proposals and suggestions. I hope the people who live downtown are paying attention too.

Interesting discussion at the Economic Development Committee, sounds like there is some backing off of the bold statements by the Mayor and the timeline. Perhaps some "misinformation". And, the message to the development community is clear, if you want to see changes, you have to show up, don't just send your staff for your various groups, cuz there's no data to support the concerns. And there are more open meetings concerns.

Remember way back when . . . we had just elected a Mayor and County Executive that said they understood and were going to do something about poverty. Do you remember last April? (yes, a mere 5 months ago) Based on the way the budgets are going, at the moment it seems as tho they have forgotten those campaign promises. But even when it comes to non-budgetary items . . . it seems the message has not gotten through, check this out.

Well, complete as far as the info that is available currently, they always add meetings after Monday morning tho . . . but I finished it all this week!
