I don't know how I missed this, but there is so much going on . . . but this is horrendous . . .

So, here's part of it. Slowed down by having no council agenda on the Weekly Schedule this morning.

They seem really poorly attended this year, which just means if you have a special issue, you'll get all the more attention!

According to their consent agenda, only the things listed below and the items that people show up to talk about . . .

During some down time between meetings yesterday, I asked folks to tell me what they didn't like about staying in shelter and why a tent in the cold is better. Here is what they had to say . . .

Laundry and showers could be put in the Warming Center with relative ease and low cost. Fire safety issues also need to be addressed. And isn't the county embarrassed about the porta-potty location? I don't understand their bizarre resistance to making people's lives just the slightest little itty bit better. Instead, they do and say the goofiest of things.

And they are the lucky ones - women and families don't have these same opportunities . . .
