Very Brief Common Council Update

So, I'm totally out of blogging practice, I'm used to staying up later and not getting up early. Gotta get my sleeping schedule back to "normal". So, I'll spare you the gruesome and mostly boring and repetitive discussion on 800 E Washington. The meeting lasted 3.5 hours

Final step . . . common council . . . have you been paying attention? I haven't, I gave up a while ago (and it includes my neighborhood!), I have no idea which changes from the Economic Development Commission and others made it in. Lets find out what the lobbyists have to say about it - warning: they love it!

If you have income, and it doesn't come from a job, you're apparently not worthy to live in Madison Development Corporation affordable housing unit. Um, I think that's discrimination based on (legal) source of income. Ahem, hope the Fair Housing Center is paying attention!

Fact Checking the N. Sherman Critics.

Madison’s Common Council voted to reconfigure N. Sherman Ave from a four-lane to a two-way with a center left turn lane. During the testimony, several issues were raised by opponents, and rehashed later on talk radio that I would like to fact-check for posterity.
