If you add up Monday's changes with today's changes we have 2 cancelled meetings and 4 added meetings since I did the City Week Ahead post.

I've combined the two for now . . . they will likely become their own features in the future . . . for those of you who might not remember "Round Up" is a smattering of community announcements that I think will be of interest to Forwardlookout.com readers

Thank goodness someone will be fighting for this young student repeatedly punched in the head by the police.  More on this on Monday, but here's the news.

I might be the only one who cares about this . . . until you can't find the information you need or you find out that you missed an important meeting!

A "notice of claim" is being served today based on the Madison Police punching a teen in the head multiple times when they were responding to a call about a mental health situation.

I think there are only 2 meetings left to be held this week that haven't been cancelled, Water Utility at 4:30 and a meeting just scheduled for Friday at 1:00.

Possible Absence: Mayor Soglin. (Update!  He will be in attendance) So says the notice. I'm laughing cuz I'm wondering if they cancel for the 3rd time in a row because of the ice storm?

Sigh . . . what changes between 4pm on Friday and before noon on Monday? Apparently a lot.

Council meets this week. Top of State St., PFAS Committee, Office of Resident Engagement, Independent Auditor for police, Salt Usage, Salvation Army Redevelopment/Shelter and more.

Sorry I'm late this morning - I had 20+ hours of candidate interviews over the weekend! Gotta say . . . I'm kinda impressed . . . looking forward to this new council (and hopefully new mayor). This week doesn't have any showstoppers - but lots and lots of meetings, you'll have to take a look.
