Madison being sued for $2.8M for Police Beating

A "notice of claim" is being served today based on the Madison Police punching a teen in the head multiple times when they were responding to a call about a mental health situation.

Council and CCEC Cancelled, Along with UDC (Updated)

I think there are only 2 meetings left to be held this week that haven't been cancelled, Water Utility at 4:30 and a meeting just scheduled for Friday at 1:00.

What Will the Council Talk About Tonight (Updated, Twice)

Possible Absence: Mayor Soglin. (Update!  He will be in attendance) So says the notice. I'm laughing cuz I'm wondering if they cancel for the 3rd time in a row because of the ice storm?

Council meets this week. Top of State St., PFAS Committee, Office of Resident Engagement, Independent Auditor for police, Salt Usage, Salvation Army Redevelopment/Shelter and more.

City Week Ahead

Sorry I'm late this morning - I had 20+ hours of candidate interviews over the weekend! Gotta say . . . I'm kinda impressed . . . looking forward to this new council (and hopefully new mayor). This week doesn't have any showstoppers - but lots and lots of meetings, you'll have to take a look.
