I haven't seen this in a while, but 11 of 13 meetings start before 5pm. 7 of the meetings at 8:00, 8:30, 10:00, noon or 3:00, 4 start at 4:30. Not very worker friendly.

I'm skipping my presentation and the information from Zoning and Public Health for now, subject of another post. The important part is the bizarre remarks from the police department - also going to be the subject of another post - and what the neighbors had to say.

15 amendments, none for affordable housing? Or F-35 mitigation for our public housing units or the rest of the city?

Part Two. More messed up information.

What Special Interests Gave Money to School Board and Alder Candidates? I wish I knew. I went to the clerk's office to find out. I was told I was handed "everything" but clearly I was not. Where are these missing City of Madison Campaign Finance Reports? Apparently, candidates turned in their reports, but I couldn't get access to them. Deadline was Monday, today is Thursday and I still don't have access to the information, 5 days before the primary election.

Until it changes. With many items without links . . . moving backwards in time . . . less and less transparency . . .

In terms of getting press for something you care about, I can't think of a worse thing to happen to a press conference, than for the County Executive to announce her surprise resignation an hour before your press conference.

I'm used to haters, my email is full of examples of it (mostly from when I was an elected official), but it irks the hell out of me when it gets directed towards other people and it professes such ignorance. Check out the latest flyer circulating in the East High area against the homeless who are looking for a place to live. Saturday's meeting could be interesting.
