Short week, but still 18 meetings!  Starting at 8am Tuesday morning, several are in closed session.

One of the PSRC subcommittees has been working on reviewing the police department policies around protests.  Here is our work so far, and next, we move on to recommendations.

$35,000 per job, they have enough money for 20 jobs.

Still all virtual meetings except one . . . how long will that last?  CCEC will be discussing.

4 missing agendas, 6 cancelled meetings, council meets again this week then not again until August.

Here's the items that the Mayor and Council President deemed important enough to allow the committees to meet or bodies that have enough independence they can't stop them from meeting.

I suspect this is misleading. These are the things that the alders picked to talk about, or require special votes, but if someone shows up to speak on something, it will also be discussed . . . so, this probably isn't real accurate.

In terms of getting press for something you care about, I can't think of a worse thing to happen to a press conference, than for the County Executive to announce her surprise resignation an hour before your press conference.

Yup - billboards, which have been essentially phased out of the city are making a resurgence of sorts. And at least one is getting bigger as a result of a lost lawsuit. And, while it resolves some issues, the Don Miller lot seems to have been forgotten in the deal. And when they site the 5 new billboards, there will be no city process.
