After a week, I still have the plague, it seems to have gotten worse over the weekend, as I lost my voice.

Send a former police detective (Gloria Reyes) to do a Social Services Job - and you get what a police officer would do. Not what is needed. The City should not be pursuing an action against its community partner when there has been so much progress.

So, I always love it when people point our really obvious flaws about life in general in the city - besides lack of public restrooms and lockers that the homeless and everyone else could use - today's issue - garbage cans. It's always the simplest of things to solve the "issues".

Back to reality! A couple dozen meetings this week including council meeting (Edgewood), Mayor talking about MetroForward, criminalization of homelessness, analyzing city crash reports, park master plans and more.

We all want to . . . so keep your leaves to yourself! Loving the Lakes is Easy Football, chill in the air, kids back...

Lots of missing agendas this week and very little on the docket which is typical of late August.

Or Dane County, for that matter. From the council meeting the last week. With a little follow up and some bk comments.

On the one hand, the city is using the chronic nuisance ordinance and giving Heartland $165,000 to increase security, but on the other hand . . . the one you should be watching and will make the real difference, they are doing this! Where's the press release and news articles about this good work?

Honestly, I can't believe that this project is all coming together, but its really cool. Thanks to the many, many volunteers for the time and talents and materials!
