Occupy got their eviction notice and the county board's Personnel and Finance Committee took the operating funds for the Homeless Day Center out of the budget. Always more work to be done and I knew the steps forward lately were just too good to be true. So, what's next for Occupy and the County Board?

Short week, but lots going on, council meets, may be a long meeting with the resolution for sanctuary for trans andnon-binary persons on the agenda.

Hmmm . . . major labor group doesn't recommend sheriff for endorsement due to his ICE policy . . . I'm glad someone is...

A bit overdue, but here's what I've got!

Its getting worse and worse every week, these are the meetings they told us about but there will we several more that pop up.

Spring Primary Tuesday, so no meetings that day, but plenty of other meetings this week.

First week in June!  Council meeting and perhaps approving the Metro Network Redesign Plan.

Students, renters, beware. They have no qualms about violating your rights if you live downtown this weekend, or anytime else.

Wow, I've been in the tenant/landlord business a long time and rarely, if ever, have I seen the state agency (DATCP = Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection) that is supposed to be dealing with tenant/landlord problems step up during the August 15th time period. That changed this year.

Here's what to expect, if someone doesn't register on items not on this list, they likely won't get discussed and will pass with the recommendations from the committee.

1,000 homes and countless businesses, plus schools and affordable housing will be impacted,  creating a huge dead zone on the Northside of Madison. Take action today!

It's not really what I expected.  Seems almost counter-intuitive and the conservative end of the council.  Will be interesting to see what they do.  Or don't do - three weeks from now.
