This is it!  The new alders all ran for office saying they wanted to work on affordable housing.  This is our big opportunity, $11 million dollars will be spent.  Will it make a huge difference, or be more of the same old, same old?  Will we see big radical meaningful changes?

“Neighborhood” Concerns About Salvation Army?

This neighbor, from a block and a half away has this concern - they need more space to serve everyone in need, no one should be forced to have sex to have a place to stay or sleep in their car or on the streets. It's not safe. But . . . I don't think that is what these neighbors have in mind . . . meeting tonight!

3 County Board Seats Open – Circulate Papers Friday

If the resolution passes the County Board on Thursday, candidates for three open seats will have less than a month to circulate nomination papers. Circulation starts Friday and papers are due April 9th - only 18 days!

Amendments to Tree Lane Security Proposal

An alternate proposal (Tree Lane Alternate) that the council will be considering tonight lowers the amount of money to be spent and replaces security with 24/7 staff at the front desk.
