The council meeting started 2 minutes ago, hopefully I finish this before they end their meeting!

This one is jam packed cuz it's been a while.  I was more interested in getting perennials for Occupy Madison and completing my balcony gardening project at my house then blogging . . . so I was slacking!  This is only done through Friday afternoon . . . 

This is a bit late, I got into a gardening project or two last week and abandoned all thoughts of blogging, but it was half done, so I finished it!  Here's the round up of last week's news in case you had your own gardening project or other distraction and didn't pay attention!

A LOT going on. Bus Rapid Transit and Urban Forestry Meetings to get public input, alcohol licenses renewal time, new staff for the Police and Fire Commission, Council meeting, 1st Common Council Executive Committee meeting - Mayor will be there to talk about shared priorities and the budget and so much more!

No surprises, typical late meeting agendas from the same old groups as usual.

A smattering of things from all kinds of email lists and alerts that I have that may be of interest to you. Tends to be local government, neighborhood or gardening related.

28 meetings, 4 cancelled, 3 don't have agendas. Tour the public market, more Judge Doyle Square discussions, Essen Haus redevelopment, Ho-Chunk development, Truman Olson property/South Grocery store, flooring solutions and studies, bus service to Sun Prairie and more.

A day late, sorry. For all the talk about how the city council meetings go sooooo long, when is the last time one went past 10:00? Last night it was 1 hour and 16 minutes according to the video.
