ANOTHER Problem with the Week Ahead Postings

Ok, I didn't really even think of this, but apparently, amended agendas are also a problem.

Better late than never?

A little after 11:00 tonight we were finally notified of the county's plan to deal with the holidays and the next few very cold and snowy days - and keeping homeless people from freezing to death or at least getting hypothermia or losing some toes to frostbite. Not much detail and I have NO idea how people are supposed to find out about the latest last minute plan that has been thrown together.

Wait lists are so long for public housing they are closing the housing lists as of March 1st. I haven't seen it this bad in the 20 years I've been working in housing.

Occupy Extension Tonight?

The City Council will be voting on a resolution tonight, and the County Board will vote on a similar one later, temporarily extending the time for Occupy/homeless tent ciy and looking for better solutions for the homeless camping there.

Snow Emergency Tonight (Updated)

They say there was 3.1 inches of snow, so they'll plow residential streets and declare a snow emergency . .. . is there any question about why this is confusing to people? Didn't have to move your cars that night, but yes for the next two nights if you live downtown. And yesterday they said they wouldn't plow the streets, today they are.
