Absurd. Get it together.

Stupidest ordinance Madison has ever passed in my book. Arbitrary lines drawn on a map to increase the value of liquor licenses downtown and limit who can make money. And its about to expire, so they are putting on the full court press to make sure they have the votes to keep it in place.

And then they came for democracy . . . Sounds dramatic and traumatic, but today is going to be an ugly day at the capital, perhaps worse than Act 10. While many people are focused on school vouchers, at the exact same time, something that has a much more far reaching effect, on everything, every issue that legislators and even local governments vote on.

I'll give them credit, it's a tough topic, much harder than approving a development or a new siren system. And there's no easy fixes, but there are things you can do to at least not make things worse, and get good information to make good decisions.

Because the county mails their agendas, these are usually all here on Mondays - I wish we could find a happy medium of having materials on time, and available electronically.

Here's a start, will get the rest done in the next 24 hours . . . plus, you just know there are meetings that still haven't been published on the weekly agenda, so I can catch those too.

Governor Scott Walker and his Wisconsin legislative cronies have claimed another victim in their war on the locally owned "Mom and Pop" store! ...

Go ahead, throw out that stuff - ignoring the realities of how the homeless have no place to put their stuff.
