I never thought our city government would hand over decision making to a corporation. Should MG&E get to decide if we expand Burr Jones Field or the the bus barn or decide to build a central police station between Blair and the 1st Street? Should they get the right of first refusal on any land banked lands in the area? Apparently the city is getting ready to give them that power, which may even include vetoing other city projects like affordable housing or a homeless shelter. The resolution may even exclude non-profits not pre-approved by MG&E from getting city approvals in the area.

Ok, besides the event at the Labor Temple (see details below) . . . that makes four.

Hey, looks like we have several agendas in that are usually missing Monday morning . . . interesting! Always remember to check the weekly calendar as there are usually meetings added throughout the week, usually 3 - 8 of them.

Last week it was the police policy and procedure committee, this week it is the first meeting of the Government Structure workgroup (and a few others).

Item 2 (Anesis Center funding for mental health case management and community programming for Southeast Asision elders and individuals with mental health needs) was referred to the next meeting, more time was spent getting the mayor a pen (he had his tire gauge instead) than anything else.

As of Monday morning, these are the meetings that are scheduled, but expect it to change . . .
