Hmmm, is this worth $30M? If it is, could we have $2M for a homeless day shelter, please.

Did you know that if we could find about 150 landlords to rent just one unit to a homeless veteran (and maybe their family) we could end Veteran Homelessness by the end of the year?

Council essentially says to the public: You don't really need to know what is going on with changing police policies . . . we'll get it to you when we want to, despite it being 2 months since a Madison police officer shot and killed Tony Robinson. No hurry.

Where does a low-income single person without a documented disability who is under 62 find housing? It's a theme that repeats itself over and over and over and over. Good news is: families and people who are disabled or in wheelchairs or elderly can pre-apply to be on a waiting list . . .

Human Services yet again looking at cutting "non-mandated services" in favor of "mandated services" which of course includes cutting all housing and homelessness programs which are "non-mandated".

Mayor's message on the capital budget. Capital budget = building things, large one time purchases, TIF, big projects . . . borrowing.

Ooops, I thought I posted this . . . this is from a few weeks ago I went to the Urban Design Commission Wednesday night for 2 projects and the most interesting one was the one sandwiched in between them.
