This category will push the story out to Forward Lookout’s social media.

Media? Hello, Is there anybody out there?

I had a dream the other night that I showed up for the city budget meeting and no one was there to report on it but me, a blogger. No "real media". Well . . . even tho the budget was over with before 10pm last night, I just watched Channel 3 report that you could testify tonight or tomorrow night on the city budget . . . sigh . . .

Two topics, two posts in one. Holiday trash pick up early or late, is that new?

Judge Doyle Square Full Speed Ahead – To where? Why?

What's the plan? Picking a developer but starting all over? Confused? You should be. This is goofy. What are we trying to accomplish?

No Info, No Problem. (Note Added)

Liberals on the county board are a funny bunch, and lately, they rarely, as a group, fail to disappoint for their complete lack of understanding of the issues and for the petty reasons they use to vote for or against something, and usually it has something to do more with internal power structure than the issue at hand.

DMI’s Draft Recommendations for Fixing the “Broken” Development Process

This has passed their Economic Development and Executive Committees and the Board is voting on it tomorrow. If you know anyone on the DMI Board you may want to try talking to them.

Fruits and Nuts Victorious! (In Progress)

Is Your Alder Doing their Job? (Part One)

Additions to Weekly Schedule and New County Board Agenda

Sigh . . .

Useless agenda week at the City.

It's August, so there are fewer meetings, but not this many fewer . . . watch for additions through the week, making the "weekly" meeting schedule a joke of serious proportions . . . usually, this is about 65 - 80% of the meetings for the week. i.e. they don't really care if you know what local government is doing, in fact, they really don't want you to know. Why isn't the mayor calling for transparency and predictability here?

Meetings Added Since The “Weekly” Schedule Appeared.

As usual, several meetings added. 3 for tomorrow, 1 for Thursday.

“Stuff” in front of the City-County Building

Here are the temporary plans, more permanent plans in the works, I hope we finally figured something out . . . not exactly permanent, but a solution nonetheless. Hope to be able to say more soon.

What Will the Council Talk about Tonight?

Here you go, but remember, if anyone signs up to speak on an item, or if an alder changes their mind or didn't get to the agenda on time, they may also pull something not on this list for discussion.
