Live blog means lotsa typos, I'll update as often as I can and still try to keep up, and that means you'll probably have to refresh more frequently than usual. Probably no time to answer tweets and facebook and emails if I'm going to catch the majority of this . . .

Not much . . . unless the go into the committee of the whole and talk about the operating budget . . . but they didn't put that off the agenda for discussion. ?!

Yeah, its back . . . after a three week break.

4 meetings that I could find . . . sigh . . . hate their system, I know I'm missing some but am not sure where to find them.

I've only been off the council for 7 years, but I find its culture of open whining about how hard it is to be on the council and its focus on itself instead of issues disturbing. But its culture of secrecy is even more concerning. Just look at the the charge of the committee that came up with the "government reform", and their agendas, and how their minutes are written. None of the meetings had more than 72ish hours notice of the meetings - find out Friday at 4:30 for a Monday meeting for three of them, the other had 30 hours notice. This doesn't appear to be a council that values the public in way shape or form. And I'm not sure what new leadership can do to fix it, given the ingrained culture of the current elected officials.

Same linking problem as last week - seems as though most of the City's Website was down this weekend, so I can give you what I can get . . . and try to modify later today if I have time.

Only two meetings tonight - evaluating the Superintendent and Referendum

I got this notice about a meeting about public safety and set it aside for further review and never got to it, but luckily, someone else did. So, here's a quick overview.

This was 3/4 of the way done yesterday . . . and I just didn't quite get it done.

So much political activism necessary . . . I hope some folks can step up and attend some of these events in the next two weeks and get involved in these important initiatives!

Dave deFelice is stepping down, I believe since he waited, the county board will appoint, but it might be a special election. Stay tuned!
