Thanks to the Herald-Independent! The new Mayor of Monona and President of Cottage Grove: Monona results: Bob Miller has defeated Council President...

So, I started blogging and it wasn't going well because I missed a few things . . . but turns out, no matter how hard I tried, I would have missed that last hour of the meeting because it was shouted down. The board kept going, voting with a thumbs up or thumbs down with staff yelling to them what they were voting on. Conservative superiors were upset they didn't get to debate and in the end were threatening to look into legal ways to declare the meeting invalid . . . and in effect, derail the jail.

This is what's available 8am Monday morning . . . clearly some items are missing.

Well . . . I was there, but I'm not sure I understood the explanation about how this is different . . . and the strike out and underline version wasn't available to the public, and it wasn't complete anyways.

28 meetings, 12 start before 5pm, 1 cancelled, 3 have no agendas yet.

Final step . . . common council . . . have you been paying attention? I haven't, I gave up a while ago (and it includes my neighborhood!), I have no idea which changes from the Economic Development Commission and others made it in. Lets find out what the lobbyists have to say about it - warning: they love it!

I missed the capital budget, but I"m determined to get the operating budget done! We'll see . . . I tend to be a little too optimistic about my time!

This race still upsets me that two good candidates were kicked off the ballot.
